The Rise of the Medical Emergency, Pt. 72 - Aug 3rd - Aug 5th Reports
Directors, cyclists, mayors, hikers, swimmers, firefighters, drivers, drivers, and drivers mystified if alive. It’s TROME
1) AQUAMAN 2 Director James Wan Recuperating At Cedar Sinai Following Health Emergency
Rushed to the hospital in the middle of the night. Heaven knows why.
‘Director James Wan has shared a post on social media assuring fans that he's on the mend, following a health scare that required him to be rushed to the emergency room. Wan made the post to his Instagram stories feed (where posts disappear after 24 hours) but DC fans on Twitter snagged a screenshot.’
2) Cyclist that died riding in Winston-Salem Cycling Classic suffered ‘medical emergency’, event says
‘A cyclist riding in the Winston-Salem Cycling Classic died on Saturday morning, according to the Winston-Salem Police Department.
At around 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, an officer found an unresponsive cyclist on the 2200 block of Union Cross Road.’
‘Medical personnel were already at the scene and providing medical aid to the cyclist. However, the cyclist would be pronounced dead on-scene.
Investigators say that the cyclist was riding in the Grand Fondo as a part of the Winston-Salem Cycling Classic.’
3) Man dies after medical emergency during RAGBRAI

The sheriff's office said the bicyclist, a man in his 50s, had a medical incident near J Avenue and 270th Street in Boone County around 1:16 p.m. He was taken by an ambulance from the scene, but did not survive.
The man's name is not being released at this time.’

Source: bransontrilakesnews.com
‘The city of Merriam Woods is being led by the Mayor Pro Tem following a medical incident involving Mayor Rusty Ault.
City Administrator Chandler Shook told Branson Tri-Lakes News Ault suffered a “severe medical emergency” which has left him temporarily unable to perform his duties as mayor while recovery is taking place.’
5) Woman Rescued During Medical Emergency on Paiute Pass Trail by Inyo County Search & Rescue
‘Inyo County Search & Rescue officials report that in the afternoon of Thursday, July 27, Inyo SAR received a call-out for a woman with chest pain near Loch Leven on Paiute Pass Trail. The hiker was assisted by a Forest Service scientist, however needed a rescue since she was unable to walk any further due to the pain.’
‘After a thorough field assessment of the patient, she was put into the litter and carefully wheeled down the trail and through two creek crossings. Upon reaching the trailhead, patient care was transferred to Reach Ambulance, who transported the patient to Northern Inyo Hospital in Bishop.’
6) Rescue crews save drowning victim during medical emergency at Bonsai Rock
‘On August 4, North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District responded to a report of a medical rescue at Bonsai Rock.
While paramedics attended to the medical rescue, someone started drowning at the same beach.
E11 and M11 crews hiked down to the drowning victim and took over the resuscitation effort that was started by bystanders.
The drowning victim was then transported on a Nevada Department of Wildlife boat to Sand Harbor while the crew resuscitated the patient.’
I can’t tell what’s going on. I hope I don’t get in trouble for copy-and-pasting the whole article.
7) Veteran Richmond firefighter has medical emergency, dies after single-vehicle crash in Chesterfield County
‘A veteran firefighter with the Richmond Fire Department reportedly died after a car crash in Chesterfield County.
Around 3:45 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 3, state troopers were called to I-95 South near the Woods Edge Road exit for a reported single-vehicle crash.
According to police, a 2003 Subaru sedan was driving down I-95 when it ran off the road to the right and collided with roadside bushes.
The driver — identified as 49-year-old Rodney Jermaine Coles of Petersburg — was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Coles was wearing his seatbelt, according to police.’
‘According to the Richmond Fire Department, Coles had been a firefighter with the agency for nearly 15 years — with today marking his 15-year anniversary. A spokesperson said Coles’ death was the result of a sudden medical emergency.’
‘The crash remains under investigation by Virginia State Police.’
8) Police have 'preliminary thought' on why tractor trailer crashed into Bellingham home
‘A man who crashed a tractor trailer into a home Thursday morning on Hartford Avenue may have suffered a medical emergency that led to the incident, Police Chief Ken Fitzgerald said.
"That's the preliminary thought, but it's still under investigation," he said.’
‘The tractor-trailer was heading eastbound on Hartford Avenue at about 9:30 a.m. when it drove off the road and crashed into a single-family home at 107 Hartford St., which sits at the corner of Nason Street.’
‘Fitzgerald said the tractor-trailer was carrying construction vehicles. The truck belongs to The N.i.c.e. Company, a construction equipment supplier out of Hopedale.
"The truck has heavy damage, and the house has heavy damage," said Fitzgerald. "He (the driver) was in critical condition, according to the Fire Department."’
‘The driver was transported to UMass-Memorial Medical Center in Worcester by medical rescue helicopter. As of 10:30 a.m. Friday, there was no update on the status of the driver.
During a press conference later in the day, Fire Chief Bill Miller said the home will have to be demolished. He also said there was a dog inside the tractor-trailer at the time of the crash.’
Doggo’s fine.
‘Fitzgerald, during the press conference, said speed did not appear to be a factor in the crash but there was no indication the driver tried to use the brakes prior to striking the house.’
‘Miller said nobody was home at the time of the crash.’
Small favors.
9) Crash after woman dies in medical episode
‘Police were called to a collision in Newport after a woman died following a medical episode. Gwent Police received a report of a medical emergency on Caerleon Road, Newport, at around 7.40pm on Monday, July 31.
Officers attended along with personnel from the Welsh Ambulance Service and South Wales Fire and Rescue Service. The force said the passenger of a blue car, a 64-year-old woman, had experienced a medical episode and was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Following the medical episode a collision occurred between the blue car and another car. The driver of the blue car was taken to hospital as a precaution while the occupants of the second car were assessed at scene and no injuries were reported. The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner.’

‘Authorities have identified the victim of a fiery crash Wednesday on Route 22 near the Cambria and Blair County line.
Cambria County Chief Coroner Deputy Joseph Hribar has identified the victim as 90-year-old Donald Snyder.
He says Snyder suffered a heart attack while driving west on Route 22 in Cresson Township.’
‘Hribar says the medical emergency caused Snyder to press the accelerator, causing him to crash.
He says Snyder, an Altoona native, died before the actual crash took place.
Snyder was identified by dental records.’
11) Car crashes into Bradley Street home, sends driver to the hospital
‘State Police say a medical emergency sent one person to the hospital after crashing their car into a Watertown home.’
‘[A] vehicle appeared to be heading south on Bradley Street when it went off the road, striking a home near the corner of Meriline Avenue.
The driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle; State Police say he was transported to Samaritan Medical Center to be treated.
The extent of damage to the residence is unknown, though our reporter says it looked like the car hit a portion of the house that would be an enclosed porch.’
12) Woman crashes into Los Ocampo restaurant along Lake Street
‘A lauded Minneapolis restaurant was damaged in a crash along Lake Street this week.
Minneapolis police say a driver crashed into the Los Ocampo eatery Thursday afternoon. Police reported she had experienced a medical emergency before the crash.
The driver was taken to the hospital with apparent non-life threatening injuries.’
13) Driver crashes into Long’s front column
This story’s really about the article itself. I was going to leave this one alone because even though they have some of the hallmarks of medical emergency crashes — cars crashing into structures at speed and the like — there was no mention of medical events precipitating the crashes. I was going to drop it until I got to the end.
Crash 1
‘According to EMS, they responded to a call that a vehicle had become wrapped around a pole. When EMS personnel arrived, they found the car and the driver and the front column of the business that had been hit.
The driver was identified by EMS as a 70-year-old female. She had somehow hit the pole column of the Long’s, but she incurred only minor injuries.
EMS said that she declined to be taken to a hospital for further evaluation after they administered first aid for her.’
Crash 2
‘In a separate incident on July 22, HPD reported that there was a motor vehicle crash at the Mililani shopping center on Kipapa Drive.
A car was driven by a 92-year-old woman which crashed into the Foodland at the shopping center. The crash caused two others to be injured as well with one also being taken to a local area hospital.’
Crash 3
‘In yet another incident on July 17, a car crashed into a Wahiawa business. Mia Bella Gelato Bar was busy with customers when the crash into their business occurred.
HPD classified this incident as a motor vehicle collision with no need for a criminal investigation.’
Maybe suspicious, some of these crashes. I was going to let it pass until I read the author’s take on the situation:
‘These three crashes come as temperatures are rising around the world and other crashes are occurring around Oʻahu.’ [Emphasis added]
I should write to the paper and thank them for the laugh.
14) Report: Norwalk pilot in Martha's Vineyard crash landing 'blacked out' before wife took controls
This is just an update on that plane wreck on Martha’s Vineyard in July. You remember the one — the pilot went out and his wife was the passenger and she tried to land the plane without knowing how to fly and wrecked it so bad the crash killed her husband but she survived (The Rise of the Medical Emergency, Pt. 55 - July 15th Reports). The update is that the pilot had just passed his medical exam in June.
‘The Norwalk pilot of a plane that crash landed on Martha's Vineyard last month after he "blacked out" and his wife took the controls was granted a medical certificate in June, according to federal investigators' preliminary report.’
15) Critically ill toddler who needed second heart transplant has died
‘A sad update to a story WLWT brought you last week. Two-and-a-half-year-old Aubrie Shears was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy when she was three months old, receiving her first heart transplant at just five months old.’
It’s not the cardiomyopathy that concerns me as much as it is the heart transplant. The patient was treated at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. I don’t know what their transplant policy is, but I do know many places denied pureblood children crucial organ transplants. These are the most venal scum on Earth. As for the hospital’s policies, ust clicking around I find puke like this Facebook post:
‘Cincinnati Children's Liver & Intestinal Transplant
An important message to patients and families of the Liver and Intestinal Transplant program:
The Liver and Intestinal Transplant team recognizes that misinformation online and shared on social media regarding the COVID-19 vaccine has contributed to vaccine hesitancy for some of our patients and families. Please know that:
The available COVID-19 vaccines have been rigorously tested for safety and effectiveness. Your child’s medical team at Cincinnati
Children’s has reviewed the clinical safety data and recommends these vaccines as safe and effective for your child in protecting against COVID-19 illness.’
I’m sure these idiotic criminals required those needing transplants to take the shots. These people forfeited their right to practice medicine.
‘A medical emergency in May of this year would put her on life support leading doctors to determine she was in need of a second heart transplant or she would only have months to live.’
‘The problem was that she could not go back into surgery until March of 2024 because her body could not take another surgery at the moment.’
That’s not the problem.
16) Police: Firefighter bit while responding to medical emergency on Metro bus
‘A firefighter was transported to the hospital after being bit on the arm while responding to a medical emergency on a Cincinnati Metro bus Friday, according to police on scene.
It happened around 6:30 a.m. when officials responded to a medical emergency near the University of Cincinnati campus at Vine and McMillan streets.
Police on the scene said a firefighter responded to a medical issue involving someone on a Metro bus.
While on the bus, police said the firefighter was bit on the arm and taken to the hospital.
The scene cleared quickly after.’
Ha ha! What? Did a dog bite him? Did a mouse bite him?
‘WLWT is working to learn more.’
You do that.
17) Man found dead at scene of medical emergency in Abergavenny
‘South Wales Fire and Rescue [et al] were all called to Station Road, Pentwynmawr, Abergavenny, at around 3pm yesterday, Thursday, August 3, following a medical emergency.
Paramedics from the Welsh Ambulance service pronounced a 64-year-old man dead at scene.
His death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be submitted to the coroner in relation to the death, according to the police.’
18) Emergency crews rescue person suffering cardiac arrest on roof of Naples building
‘Emergency crews rescued a person after finding them in cardiac arrest on the roof of a Naples building Thursday morning.
According to the Naples Fire-Rescue Department (NFRD), crews along with Collier County EMS responded to the medical emergency at 1100 Gulf Shore Boulevard N.
At around 10:50 a.m., crews were on scene and found a person in cardiac arrest on the roof of the building. While still on the roof, the person regained spontaneous circulation.’
‘The person received CPR and additional units helped move the person to the ground. They were moved to an ambulance before being taken to a hospital, NFRD said.’
19) Death investigation in Rushville
‘Authorities are investigating the death of a Rushville woman.
Rushville police were called to the 300 block of North Jackson Street on Monday night, July 31. They found Sarah Demaree, 39, suffering from a medical emergency.
Investigators are not saying what type of emergency she was experiencing.
Demaree was flown to a regional hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
An autopsy was conducted Tuesday, August 1. Results are pending the outcome of toxicology testing.’
20) Clacton Beach Road scene of emergency incident
Source: clactonandfrintongazette.co.uk
‘Emergency services were called to an incident in Beach Road, Clacton, shortly after 11am this morning.
The frontline workers rushed to the scene after concerns were raised over the welfare of a man.
Upon arrival, however, paramedics assessed the man but he did not require transportation to hospital.’

Just now gave you a plug on Pierre Kory's Substack:

Hope it helps with giving your stack a bit more visibility.
After reading this series, I can't help but wonder if the exponential increase in "single motor vehicle" accidents (along with the resulting crashes into homes, businesses, telephone phones and art objects) might be another good measure for Ed Dowd to use is calculating estimated numbers of vaccine injuries . . . .
On the other hand (dare I say "bright side"?), it looks like there are lots of new post-vaxx job opportunities:
> EMS technician
> Tow truck driver
> Insurance agent
