#1 Man who suffered medical emergency while driving released from hospital
Source: wbrc.com
‘“First responders informed Shelby county deputies that the driver had a medical emergency. During that emergency he had no control over his vehicle […]’
And?
‘[…] and ran across 6 lanes of traffic, struck a curb, went airborne and crashed into those two businesses. He has been released from the hospital.”’ [Emphasis added]
Holy shit.
‘The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office says a truck ended up inside a business Thursday evening after someone experienced a medical emergency.’ [Emphasis added]
That keeps happening.
#2 Investigation underway after bus driver’s medical episode put 2 students 40 minutes away from school
Source: wpxi.com
‘HAMPTON, Pa. — Police are investigating after a school bus driver suffered a medical emergency while students were aboard.
“He was actually going in the wrong direction off of school,” said Mark Schmitt, Monark Student Transportation President/CEO.
This medical episode ended up putting two students, ages six and nine, near the airport Monday morning — which is around 20 minutes away from their school in Hampton.’
‘“It was unfortunately a medical condition that the driver had he was confused. We’re not sure what the condition was. He’s still in the hospital,” Schmitt said.’
Okay.
Moving on.

#4 A Texas election worker’s heart attack highlights tensions between officials and poll watchers
Source: texastribune.org
‘A poll worker in Williamson County had a heart attack Monday while working at an early voting site.’ [Emphasis added]
Dang.
‘County officials initially blamed the medical emergency on a tense interaction with a voter fraud activist and poll watcher […]’ [Emphasis added]
What?
‘[…] but on Thursday retracted the accusation […]’ [Emphasis added]
Nice of them.
‘[…] after the activist threatened legal action.’ [Emphasis added]
Oh.
‘Williamson County Judge Bill Gravell Jr. had emailed Laura Pressley Monday, claiming her actions at the voting site were responsible for “single-handedly almost costing someone their life.”’ [Emphasis added]
How dare she.
‘Pressley has been the subject of other complaints. Some voting rights advocates in Texas say it’s become common over the years to hear complaints about Pressley harassing election workers at polling locations and accusing them of not doing their job properly.’
Oh. A poll-watcher. Slandered and now accused of homicide by a judge. Home sweet TROME.
‘Gravell has not responded to requests for an interview, but during a commissioners court meeting Tuesday, Gravell said the poll worker’s heart attack was caused by a “potential confrontation over poll watchers there causing stress in a polling place.”’
What does Pressley say?
‘“I think we're all wondering if that poll worker was vaccinated.”’ [Emphasis added]
HELL YEAH we are, Laura! We damn right are! This is awesome.
What a great story kind of. The musing about the shot status of the poll worker is one of the first mentions of the covid shots I’ve read after over 100 issues of TROME. Of course, it was couched in all kinds of cautionary terms and a false claim about false claims and so on. But I’m still a little surprised and a little thrilled even that the words even made it to print. Even if it was meant as another accusation and as an insult, which is likely.
What an interesting story.

‘The driver has been transported for treatment at a local hospital.’
‘“At least nobody got hurt,” said Chris Crosby, who owns Merle Norman Hair Salon with his wife Michelle.’
It’s okay, Chris. We know what you meant. I think.
‘After crashing into the hair salon, the vehicle continued through a wall damaging Bountiful Gifts & Apparel next door which was set to have its grand opening on Saturday, Nov. 4.’ [Emphasis added]
That’s how we do in TROME.
#6 'Someone was looking out': Woman having medical emergency pulls into closed fire station, but someone was there
Source: cbs58.com
‘Kyles described having a rapid heartbeat and lightheadedness that wouldn't go away that afternoon. So, she decided to drive about 15 minutes to the Froedtert hospital in Menomonee Falls, where she works in the cancer center.’
‘[…] her condition only got worse as she drove west on Good Hope Road.
"My vision was so blurry. I was sweating so bad," she said. "I couldn't even really see my phone."’
‘"God spoke to me," she said. "And he said, 'Make a U-Turn and get to the fire department.'
Kyles pulled into Station 3. She had no idea the firehouse is currently closed for remodeling. At first, Kyles said she parked outside the building and began honking her horn.
"Nobody came out, so I went inside," she said. "I just start yelling for help and start beating on the ambulances to get someone's attention."
"All of a sudden, we heard a car honking outside. And we kind of looked at each other and went over," Harthun said. "All of a sudden, we heard a voice inside cause the overhead door was open."
‘[Battalion Chief Kurt Harthun] said they went into the bay and saw Kyles, who looked ill. They checked her heart rate and saw it was over 200 beats per minute […]’

‘Pande says she pleaded with the cabin crew to divert the plane and land in order to get her father to a hospital.
Instead, the flight stayed on course for nine more hours, travelling over Ireland, across the Atlantic Ocean and Eastern Canada before touching ground in Montreal. Paramedics were waiting — but Pant died as they worked on him.’

#15 Good Samaritans help driver during medical emergency on I-10
Source: 12news.com
VIDEO
‘PHOENIX — The Monday afternoon commute turned into a scary situation for drivers on the I-10 when a driver having a medical emergency hit the median before swerving into traffic.
Thankfully, two good Samaritans driving behind him saw it all and quickly jumped in to help.
“I feel like I got hit with a semi truck," said Taylor Bellamy.’
I’m glad he didn’t.
‘“I started feeling real funny and my arms and legs started getting real heavy. I thought I was going to have a panic attack and then, I don’t remember anything,” Bellamy said.’
‘“He hits [the meridian] like two or three times and he swerves into traffic and we slow down. We pull up right next to him and he’s seizing up, like he’s shaking in his car," [a witness] said.’
It’s quite a story.
‘Bellamy said he's now recovering from what he learned was a grand mal seizure and is waiting for test results to come back from the hospital that will hopefully shed light on why this happened to him.’
So in other words he has no history of epilepsy. My understanding of epilepsy is that epileptics tend to feel distinct effects well before they have a full blown seizure, and they can and do mitigate the circumstances surrounding the event. This guy sounds like he had no idea what was going on and felt symptoms moments before the extreme seizure. The one sounds like nothing like the other. The one sounds like a roommate I once had, a grand mal epileptic who’s the one who told me about it. The other sounds like TROME.
#16 Brave Limerick boy receives medal for helping his mother in medical emergency
Source: limerickleader.ie
‘A FIVE year-old Limerick boy who helped guide paramedics to his home when his mother was having a medical emergency has been given a special bravery award.’
Heartwarming.

As one would. God, I’m sick of these scenes.
‘Jennie has postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS) which causes her to feel dizzy and faint, which is what happened on that eventful day.’
Wonder how long she’s had that for. The child got an award along with emotional and psychic scars that will probably stay with him for life.
Moving on.
#17 SF man collapsed and died outside de Young Museum after friend denied life-saving device
Source: abc7news.com
His friend did what?
‘Tim O'Brien says this was a case of life and death, where seconds count. When his friend collapsed at Golden Gate Park, O'Brien ran for help. He asked to borrow a life-saving device but was denied.’
Ohhh. I see. Headlines are just cheap comedy these days.
‘It was a Sunday filled with music and swing dancing at Golden Gate Park.
Gary Hobish was there like he was every Sunday for the Lindy in the Park event.
Friends say he suddenly collapsed and hit his head.
That's when O'Brien ran for help.’
So then the museum security guard denied him the defibrillator and the man died.
What a horror show.
And what a headline. I wonder if the writer used to have a gig as museum security.
