Ultimately, It's Not A Fact, It's A Story
Ultimately, it’s not a note — it’s a note next to other notes such that the difference between the notes registers in the human ear. The A might not be 440 Hz, but as long as all the other notes are off by as much, then the music will play. It will sound good.
And it's not just a note next to other notes, either. It's a note inside of a finely interconnected pattern connecting all the notes. It's a note in a Western standard musical scale. And it's not just the note next to the note that we hear. Notes all the way across a whole song – across a whole album, one note can carry, such that, say, an hour-long epic rock opera closes – it resolves – on a single note – the correct one.
That's how we see notes, that's how we understand what they are, and it IS how they are – we can experience a satisfied feeling at a well-constructed harmony, but our opinion simply doesn't matter in that that note requires a certain number of vibrations per second. Our opinion doesn't affect the harmony.
Neither is it an opinion that the resulting order arising from those notes – the resulting harmony – represents order, and increase in order, and not an increase in noise.
A politician can play the wrong note. They can even force you to nod your head to noise. But they can't produce the truth from lies. They're playing something between a C and a D and they actually need a B-flat to make the harmony.
It's up to you to listen. Is it noise? Or is it music? And if it's noise, then you might ask yourself why people are treating it like music. What is it that has divorced their ears from their brain?
