TROME week one is Tiffany Dover Week, Dec. 14th - 20th, 2020.
What did the year before that look like? I’m going to apply the same methodology I use for the all the other TROME reports, but for full 7-day weeks instead of the 2 or 3 or 5 day formats I’ve experimented with. So hopefully this exercise will provide pretty accurate snapshot of what “medical emergency” reporting looked like before the age of TROME. I’m really looking forward to it and I have to say that so far it’s pretty much been what I expected it would be — a little on the lean side, actually. A week in TROME tends to yield numbers of stories in the dozens — the mid-30’s is probably a general average, although I haven’t actually checked. This week we find 5 stories. The other weeks I’ve looked at pre-TROME have had less than that.

‘Isla Glaser called 911 when her mother Haley collapsed in the kitchen.’
‘Haley had collapsed due to a bacterial infection.’
And that’s a wrap.
I’d put money on the 13 month toddler had just completed her MMRV, Hep A, FLU, IPV, HiB, PCV, HepB series for her “protection” on the cruise ship. Of course the parents were just following the CDC schedule. Which now adds RSV, and a C-19 jab.

Interesting exercise.
