The Rise of the Medical Emergency Pt. 2
The hits keep coming
Well, sad news from today and yesterday. Students keep perishing. Several prisoners, it seems, are afflicted with the emergency. And in maybe the funniest story yet, a thief running off with the goods got into a medical emergency instead.
Let’s start with the baddies. Bad boys, bad boys, what you gonna do? What you gonna do when you’re dead from a medical emergency?
“A 46-year-old inmate of the Troup County Jail was pronounced deceased after experiencing a medical emergency on May 16.
The incident began around 9 p.m. when [he] began experiencing difficulty breathing.
[He] soon became unresponsive and immediate life-saving measures, including CPR, were initiated.”
“An inmate in the Harris County Jail died after an apparent medical emergency. Now an investigation has been launched into his death.
Deputies say 32-year-old Robert Terry collapsed at about 6:20 a.m. Tuesday after asking to see the Harris Health medical staff. He was then taken to the hospital, where he later died at 7:32 a.m.”
We got a feel-good story. I mean, c’mon. :
“Investigators said a neighbor confronted two men seen running from a home [around] 7:19 a.m.”
“As officers arrived, they learned one of the suspects had suffered a medical emergency and was lying on the ground.”
Ha ha. I mean, c’mon.
Another driver hitting more people:
“A man who tragically died in a crash which saw a car collide with a bus shelter next to a busy Sheffield road had suffered a ‘medical episode’ at the wheel.”
“The man, who was aged in his 80s, was pronounced dead at the scene […].”
And, here we go, there always comes a point you’re clipping along, laughing at death and tragedy and comedy, and then you get to the stories where the children start dying. Ah, what are you gonna do?
"It is with great sadness that we inform you that a WCHS student has passed away following a medical emergency at the high school this morning," the school said.
Sometimes medical emergencies are simply… a reason to lock down the entire school in order to give paramedics enough space to respond. And nothing more.
“Emergency services were called to Silverdale School in Sheffield today after a reported medical emergency involving a student.”
Well, that’s a wrap for today. The mystery rise of the mysterious medical emergency continues.
