Things not to do if shotted: Play trombone, drive to Subway, drive a school bus, drive at all, be in a girl band, go mountain biking, snorkeling, swimming, gambling, or shopping. We can do this!
1) A trombonist fainted during the King’s birthday parade rehearsal, got up – and tried to play on
Yeah, I know. It happens all the time. Don’t lock your knees, they say.
‘Temperatures reached a sweltering 30 degrees celsius, causing three guards involved in the parade rehearsals to collapse.’ [Emphasis added]

2) Only on 10: Driver in fatal Subway sandwich shop crash speaks out for first time
‘The driver who crashed into a Subway sandwich shop last week in Smithfield is speaking for the first time since the crash.
In an exclusive interview with NBC 10 News, Jeffrey Barden, said the crash, which killed one woman and injured four others, was the result of the medical episode.’ [Emphasis added]

"People keep telling me, 'It's not your fault, it's not your fault,' but that doesn't make me feel any better," said Barden.
‘"I had just pulled over to the curb for a second and the next thing I know, I woke up in the ambulance," Barden said.
"I'm still seeing doctors and so forth so we'll find out one step at a time," he added.’ [Emphasis added]
‘Smithfield police have confirmed to NBC 10 News that Barden has not been formally charged with anything and the investigation is ongoing.’
‘[…] Barden's car hit another vehicle in the Apple Valley Mall's parking lot last Wednesday, before driving off at a high rate of speed and eventually crashing into the Subway.
The crash killed 47-year-old Charlotte Vacca and injured four others who were inside the restaurant. Barden was also injured in the incident.’ [Emphasis added]
3) 3 children, driver airlifted to hospital following Quebec bus crash
‘Three children and one adult were seriously injured Monday morning after crash involving a school bus in Ste-Marguerite-Marie, in Quebec’s Bas-Saint-Laurent region.’
“There were 11 students between the ages of seven and 13 on the bus,” he said.
Three of the eleven children suffered serious injuries and were transported to hospitals outside the region.
“The bus driver was also airlifted out,” Doiron said.’ [Emphasis added]
‘Police believe the driver of the bus may have suffered a medical emergency while behind the wheel causing the bus to crash into a ditch.
Doiron said the bus was found upright in the ditch, explaining it hadn’t flipped over and was still on its wheels.
The investigation is ongoing.’ [Emphasis added]

4) Driver Crashes Into A Field Along Highway 97 Near Walnut Hill
‘A driver was transported to the hospital following a crash Monday afternoon on Highway 97 in Walnut Hill.
Authorities said a medical emergency may have led to a man crashing his van into a field near Howell Road. The side of the van had significant damage, but it was not immediately clear when or how it occurred; it did not appear that the damage happened as the van traveled off the road and into the field.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating.’ [Emphasis added]
5) Brave boy steers car to safety after father's medical emergency, becomes honorary police officer in Boerne
‘The Boerne Police Department commended a boy for his courageous actions after his father had a medical episode while driving.
On April 27th at around 6:06 p.m., police were dispatched to the 200 block of S. Esser for reports that a truck had run into a mailbox with a man slumped over.
According to the Boerne Police Department, Bryce McGray called 911 to say that his dad had fallen asleep at the wheel. Bryce was able to communicate with the dispatcher about their exact location in a calm manner.
Bryce told police that about an hour before the scary incident, Bryce’s father had been struck in the head with a baseball. As Bryce’s dad got behind the wheel, he began to have a medical emergency and veered into traffic. A few moments later Bryce’s father fell unconscious while the car was in motion.’ [Emphasis added]
6) Medical emergency while driving led to the death of a man in Ione
‘A man has died after suffering a medical emergency that caused him to crash into a tree, said authorities.
‘[…] This particular location is a two-lane, straight county road with a slight downhill decline.
The 58-year-old victim was traveling northbound at approximately 50 miles per hour when he suffered a medical emergency.
As a result, he was unable to maintain control of his car and ended up veering off the road before crashing into a tree.
Despite attempts to save his life, he succumbed to his injuries.’ [Emphasis added]

The BLACKPINK member left the stage midway through a performance in Melbourne June 11 due to a medical issue. In a video from the concert posted to Twitter, Jennie is seen exiting the stage and being escorted down the stairs and under the stage by security. Further clips from the show posted online ahead of her exit feature Jennie holding onto the side of the stage and breathing deeply in and out during a song.’ [Emphasis added]

8) Phoenix mountain biker fighting for his life after rescue from Deems Hills
‘A Phoenix mountain biker is fighting for his life after being rescued off Deems Hills on Monday night, the fire department said on June 12.
A 46-year-old man "experiencing a medical emergency" was found about two and a half miles into a trial after first responders were called out to the area around 6:30 p.m.
Technical rescue teams with Phoenix, Glendale and Peoria responded.
"The decision was made to utilize Phoenix Police Firebird 10 to perform a ‘Hoist Operation’ for extricating the patient off the mountain. At the base landing zone the patient was transferred to an waiting ambulance and transported to a local hospital in extremely critical condition," said Phoenix Fire Capt. 9) US visitor dies while snorkelling at Cayman Kai
‘A 68-year-old woman, visiting from North Carolina, died in a water-related incident in Cayman Kai, North Side, on Saturday, police have reported.’
‘Police said it was reported that the woman experienced a medical emergency while snorkelling in the Cayman Kai area.
“Personnel from the Cayman Islands Fire Service and Emergency Medical Services attended the location where they provided urgent first aid and she was transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital where she was pronounced deceased by the attending doctor,” the RCIPS said.’ [Emphasis added]

11) Adult male drowned Friday night at the Dallas FOE pool

‘A guest at Dallas Fraternal Order of Eagles 3108 swimming pool drowned Friday night, Dallas FOE said in a statement to members over the weekend.
“We are saddened to report a visitor apparently suffered a medical emergency and passed away despite the best efforts of staff and EMS after falling in the pool,” reads a post on the FOE 3108 page.’ [Emphasis added]
12) Betfred punter dies in Stoke tragedy as staff battled to keep him alive
‘A punter has died at a town centre bookies. Paramedics and staff battled in vain to save the patient after being alerted to the 'medical emergency' at Betfred.’
‘"I was sorry to hear about his passing. I was there when it happened, I tried to put him in the recovery position. The paramedics and police did all they could and I want to give them full praise.”’

13) Flintshire: Air ambulances land in Mynydd Isa
‘A PERSON was taken to hospital after air ambulances landed in a Flintshire village this morning.
The two air ambulances were seen landing near the Sainsbury's local store on Mercia Drive in Mynydd Isa.
There are unconfirmed reports of a medical emergency at the Sainsbury's store. ‘
