The Rise of the Medical Emergency Pt. 68 - July 28th Reports
An NFL player, an anchor, a driver, a driver, a driver, and another driver, a swimmer, a swimmer, an oil rig worker, a prisoner, Snopes, and a police officer all get together for a day in TROME
1) Look: Drue Chrisman Updates Fans Following Medical Emergency
‘CINCINNATI — Bengals punter Drue Chrisman has been absent from the team since the start of training camp as he recovered in the hospital from an unknown ailment.
Zac Taylor didn't offer a ton of information about the situation when asked about it this week but confirmed on Friday that Chrisman left the hospital.
"He's been great," Taylor said. "We communicated with him today but he's with some doctors right now. So I don't want to get too much into it, you know without having all the information but the good thing is the situation people took care of it quickly. He's been responsive. He's been talking to us. He's been in great spirits."
Chrisman updated people via Twitter/X from a hospital bed before he was discharged on Friday. He suffered a medical emergency at the team facility on Wednesday.’ [Emphasis added]
M’kay. Huh?
Well, there’s a little more detail from a link in the article:
‘The punter collapsed in the Bengals' weight room and was rushed to the hospital in the middle of last week.’ [Emphasis added]
Ah, yes. The old weight room collapse.
If people tended to collapse like this, then we never would have invented weight rooms.
‘“I had a procedure a couple of days ago, so we're just waiting for that to heal,” Chrisman told reporters. “All the other tests we've done have come back really positive.”
Chrisman wasn't ready to share the nature of the "procedure" but is ready to get back on the field to jump into the punting battle with 2023 sixth-round pick Brad Robbins. The scab on his head from the shared picture in the hospital happened as a result of the weight room fall.’ [Emphasis added]
Wonderful. Let’s all hope he starts talking about shot injury soon. Lol.
2) 'I felt my time was up': KENS 5’s Sarah Forgany talks about her medical emergency
‘In an emotional return to the airwaves Wednesday, KENS 5 anchor Sarah Forgany told viewers that she believed her time was up after she suffered sudden heart failure.’ [Emphasis added]
‘“What happened was definitely a strong reminder for me that no one is guaranteed tomorrow,” she told viewers on her first day back at work after being in and out of the hospital for the last two months.’
Oh, is that what it is? No, honey. You were shot in the heart.
‘“I had sudden heart failure, no warning signs, my lungs filled up with fluid which led me to be ventilated for several days,” she said.’ [Emphasis added]
But, the good news is she’s back on air so she can help her company lie about the same shots that stopped her heart. Lisa Shaw, the BBC presenter who died to blood clots from the AstraZeneca shot in 2021 didn’t have that chance, but her employer took advantage of the moment to advertise the safety of the AstraZeneca shots:
Lisa Shaw: Presenter's death due to complications of Covid vaccine
‘Ms Shaw, a mother of one from Consett, received her first dose of the vaccine on 29 April.
On 13 May she was taken by ambulance to University Hospital of North Durham after having a headache for several days.
In a statement, Dr John Holmes who treated her said she complained of having a "severe headache shooting and stabbing" across her forehead and behind her eyes.
Tests were carried out and blood clots were found in her brain, prompting her to be moved to the neurology specialist unit at Newcastle's Royal Victoria Infirmary (RVI).’ [Emphasis added]
‘Ms Dilks said Ms Shaw was previously fit and well but concluded that it was "clearly established" that her death was due to a very rare "vaccine-induced thrombotic thrombocytopenia", a condition which leads to swelling and bleeding of the brain.’ [Emphasis added]
Although, in this article, despite its reassuring tones — about a product that’s been pulled off the Australian market because it causes blood clots — we do find an extremely damning statistic regarding the safety of the death shots:
‘The clots are considered extremely rare - there have been 417 reported cases and 72 deaths - after 24.8 million first doses and 23.9 million second doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine in the UK.’ [Emphasis added]
72 deaths. They sacrificed 72 people without blinking.
Including Lisa Shaw. But at the end of the article covering her death, we find this:
‘The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency's chief safety officer, Dr Alison Cave, said it would be "reviewing" the coroner's verdict.
"The benefits of the Covid-19 vaccine AstraZeneca continue to outweigh the risks for most people," she said.’
The benefits of peanuts outweight the risks for most people. Still can’t get a bag of ‘em on the airplane like they used to give to everybody until the childhood vaccine schedule caused massive peanut allergies in America and now the airlines would be sued if they gave you a bag of peanuts.
These ghouls MUST be barred from the practice of medicine. We can’t exist knowing this kind of idiot is waiting for us in that blue gown if we ever find ourselves incapacitated enough to end up in a hospital. It’s unacceptable.
3) VIDEO: Car still stuck in Salem building after Thursday crash
‘A driver hit a building in Salem Thursday and is being treated in a hospital.
Surveillance video shows the driver veer off West Main Street, onto a parking lot and into E3 Fitness, in a building owned by Culligan Water.
Culligan Water owner Mark Stoner told WDBJ7 exclusively the car was still in the building as of Friday afternoon, because the fire marshal hasn’t been able to remove it. No one was in the building at the time and the driver walked on his own to an ambulance, he said. First responders in Salem have not yet provided information, but Stoner said he understands the driver remains in a hospital, being treated for an apparent back injury. About the driver, Stoner said, “Apparently he suffered some kind of medical emergency that caused him to veer off of the road and into the building. I am told that he had blacked out due to coughing very hard.”’ [Emphasis added]
‘Stoner said the fire marshal told him he hasn’t seen anything quite like this incident, in that the car penetrated the building so far in, and the fact that fire crews have not been able to remove the vehicle due to safety and structural concerns to the building.’ [Emphasis added]
Welcome to TROME, fire marshal.
4) Medical emergency likely led to fatal Douglas County crash, deputies say
Top-tier medical emergency. The details just make everything more gruesome.
‘Sheriff’s officials said a medical emergency is suspected to have caused a single-vehicle crash in Douglas County on Wednesday morning in which the driver died.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash that occurred at about 11:15 a.m. on July 26 in Green, authorities said. Sheriff’s officials said the driver, identified as Naomi Noble, 86, of Roseburg, was traveling southbound on Carnes Road when witnesses saw her car jump a curb and hit a stand of mailboxes. Witnesses observed Noble’s car reenter the roadway into oncoming traffic before again jumping a curb and stopping in a bush, authorities said.’
Wow. Jumped the curb, hit the mailboxes, went back across the entire street, and stopped on the other side.
‘DCSO officials said that witnesses described Noble as appearing unresponsive as she entered the oncoming the lane of traffic. Witnesses who broke a window to access and remove Noble from the car could not find a pulse on her, authorities said. Sheriff’s deputies said responding medics started administering CPR on Noble before she was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center in Roseburg where she was pronounced deceased.
Noble’s death was a result of a medical event and not the crash itself, sheriff’s officials said.’ [Emphasis added]
It’s not a bird. It’s not a plane. It’s TROME.
5) Man dies in crash after suffering possible medical emergency in Catawba County
‘A 69-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Catawba County on Thursday evening.’ [Emphasis added]
‘Police said a preliminary investigation revealed that the man, Robert Lewis Abernathy, was driving south on Northwest Boulevard when he ran off the left side of the road, jumped a curb and went airborne.
While the man’s pickup truck was in the air, it went through a fence and a yard before coming to a stop in a group of trees.’ [Emphasis added]
Did you catch all that? While he was in the air he went through a fence and a yard.
‘First responders attempted to perform lifesaving measures at the scene, but Abernathy died because of his injuries.
Police said he may have suffered a medical emergency, which could have caused him to lose control and crash.’ [Emphasis added]
Holy smokes.
6) Medical emergency may have caused car vs. semi collision on I-74 exit ramp
‘A medical emergency may have played a role in a rear-end collision on the I-74 eastbound exit ramp in Batesville just before 10 o’clock Thursday morning.
Witnesses say an Indiana State Police trooper attempted to stop a possible impaired driver when the car drove into the back of a parked semi on the ramp.’ [Emphasis added]
Betcha he wasn’t expecting that.
‘The trooper believes the unidentified driver suffered a medical emergency before the crash.
That person was taken to the hospital but there’s no word on their condition.’ [Emphasis added]
7) 19-year-old credited with saving woman's life at Elizabethtown water park
‘A 19-year-old Campbellsville University student is credited with saving a woman's life.’ [Emphasis added]
‘"She was close enough to where I could grab her arm and that's when I realized she was completely limp," Elmore said. "She wasn't responsive to anything and that's whenever I triple-whistled and I immediately got in the water and got my hands underneath her to where I could hold her up."
As it turns out, the woman had suffered a medical emergency while in the water.
She was treated and released from the hospital that evening.’ [Emphasis added]
8) Man dies after Coventry Lake medical emergency, police say
‘A 75-year-old man died Friday after suffering a medical emergency in Coventry Lake, according to local police.’ [Emphasis added]
‘The victim was transported to the hospital by ambulance and listed in critical condition, according to Spadjinske. Spadjinske said he did not know the exact time of death.’ [Emphasis added]
9) Coastguard respond to medical emergency
‘A coastguard helicopter was called out for a medical emergency at an oil platform 120 miles northeast of Sumburgh this morning (Friday).
The call was made after 6am and the helicopter crew left shortly after.
An ambulance team was waiting at Clickimin to receive the patient around 8.30 am.’ [Emphasis added]
You didn’t want to know anything else about this, right? Good.
10) Inmate who experienced chest pains while in Clay County Jail dies at hospital, deputies say
‘An inmate who was being held at the Clay County Jail has died, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office said Friday.
Kevin Scott Keene, 55, was arrested on Tuesday, July 18 on one count of aggravated battery, CCSO said in a news release.
One week later, on Tuesday, July 25, Keene told jail staff he was having chest pains and was checked out by medical staff.
CCSO said Keene was taken to a local hospital by ambulance “out of an abundance of caution.”
On the evening of Thursday, July 27, Keene “collapsed in his room following an apparent medical emergency,” CCSO said.’ [Emphasis added]
Lolcows Snopes are here to entertain us.
11) 'He Did Not Die Because of a Vaccine': Late Journalist's Fiancée Refutes 'Died Suddenly' Rumor
This oughta be good.
‘On July 18, 2023, the dubious Twitter account known as Died Suddenly (@DiedSuddenly_) tweeted a screenshot of a news story that read, "Gary Detman, the digital news manager at South Florida CBS affiliate WPEC, died this week following a medical emergency." A second, smaller screenshot was added on top of the news story image that showed a Facebook post in which Detman had posted in 2021 that he had been vaccinated. In other words, the baseless implication made by the tweet was that Detman had died because of a COVID-19 vaccine.’
So, Snopes is going to debunk this one. But how?
‘As we've reported before, the account's name, Died Suddenly, references a false conspiracy-theory rumor that claims COVID-19 vaccines increase the risk of death.
A primary strategy of the Died Suddenly account has historically been to seize on any death reports that can be found in order to promote an anti-vaccine agenda, all while victims' family and friends are still very much in mourning. In return, the account's followers believe the baseless information, even after it's revealed the death wasn't related to the vaccine.’
Oh, that dirty, dirty “primary strategy.” You’re telling me that this “Died Suddenly” fella keeps insisting people died from the shots even after Snopes told them it’s not from the shots? Dastardly.
Sorry for pasting in all those words. What trash. Sorry for making your day worse for having read it.
‘It's true that Detman, 53, was a digital content manager at WPEC-TV, also known as CBS 12 News, which is in West Palm Beach, Florida. His death on April 27, 2023, was announced on air the following day.’
Yes. And it’s also true that, according to this very same article, again:
‘Detman had posted in 2021 that he had been vaccinated.’
Okay, so what part’s false?
‘As for the Died Suddenly tweet that came later in July, Detman's fiancée, Sandy Collier, posted a response: "I am Gary Detman's fiancée, and your information is FALSE. Please do not use Gary's death for your agenda. Gary was a journalist who valued telling the truth; he fact-checked everything before putting it out to the public. Please remove this information from your platform."’ [Emphasis added]
Wait a minute. This whole “debunking” it’s not literally just his fiancee saying “Na-ah,” is it?
It is.
‘Collier also said much the same in an email to Snopes:
Gary was an experienced journalist who valued truthful reporting. Spreading false information is harmful to everyone, particularly those who rely on accuracy. I want to clarify that Gary did not pass away due to the Covid vaccine.’
Again, sorry for wasting your time with all that awful verbiage. On the other hand, I’d like to thank Snopes for contributing to my article.
Thanks, Snopes! It’s almost like you’re working for me, but I’m not paying you. Thank you for that.
Hey, Snopes — are you even trying anymore? Are you just finally completely sick of trying to disguise the fact you’re lying to everyone? Good choice.
And, thanks again.
12) Troy M. Nicholson, celebrated Upper Merion Township police officer, has died at 32
‘Troy M. Nicholson, 32, of Collegeville, a popular six-year veteran of the Upper Merion Township Police Department, died Saturday, July 15, after an emergency medical event during a family gathering in Galena, Md. The cause of death has not been disclosed, his family said.’ [Emphasis added]
‘His wife is expecting a baby boy.’
Adieu
Thanks for reporting.
