The Rise of the Medical Emergency, Pt. 106 - Nov 22nd - Nov 28th Reports
Teenage heroes, Wendy's worker heroes, and prisoner heroes shine. A flier dies, a driver flies, and a flying nurse -- also dies. It's TROME

#1 911 dispatcher helps Minnesota girl safely stop car after mom suffers medical emergency while driving
Source: cbsnews.com
‘PARK RAPIDS, Minn. — She's not old enough to drive, but a Minnesota 13-year-old was forced to learn fast.’
Yeah.
‘Her mom was behind the wheel in late September, but had a sudden medical issue in a rural area near Laporte.’
‘She described her mother driving erratically. She said, "She was kind of steering into the ditch, so I was like 'oh I probably have to steer now', so I started steering, it was really scary."’
‘They were going at a highway speed in the dark.’
What a scene.
She called 911 and they told her to put the stick in neutral and she did that and they pulled over safely. Oh my god. Gut-wrenching.
Now, in this somewhat rare instance, the medical world isn’t baffled by the reason: low blood sugar.
‘After safely stopping, medics found Barb Foss's blood sugar had dropped to 41, which is considered dangerously low.’
I’ve heard since almost the beginning of the shots about blood sugar swings but I’ve never really delved into it.
I don’t want to read too much into it, but it strikes me as odd no mention is made of the Mother’s diabetes status. It seems like it’s part of the story one way or another. But we’re keeping in mind that all this exists in a nation having a diabetes epidemic right now.
Anyway, leaving this one in for now. I should find out more about the blood sugar topic regarding the shots.

#3 Woman killed after suffering medical emergency, crashing vehicle in Jackson
Source: wlbt.com
VIDEO REPORT
Well, the linked report consists entirely of a commentary-free video of the accident scene.
The video has moments representative of the new TROME era movie genres. Art horror, let’s say. Both the scene itself — the rescue vehicles and the lights — and the reporting per se — the silent witness in emptiness to the carnage — gives the viewer an odd sense of surrealism, that dystopian-adjacent haunting tragedy underpinning everything in TROME.

‘Olivia Attwood quickly became a favourite on I'm A Celeb after skydiving out of a helicopter on her first day. She was forced to leave the show on medical grounds after mere hours of actually being in the jungle.

If I could "hardly string a sentence together and didn't know where I was..." I can't imagine I would be happy with a diagnosis of "100% clean bill of health and there was nothing wrong." But people are used to the medical mafioso telling them they're just imagining things, often before they die or figure out they have something very serious wrong with them.
