Jun 6 — ‘The driver of a sport utility vehicle that slammed into a building and plunged into McKinstry Brook off River Street is hospitalized in critical condition, according to police.
Authorities said the initial investigation indicates the motorist might have had a medical emergency in the moments before the crash. The 34-year-old Southbridge residents was unconscious, at the edge of the river, when rescuers arrived.’
‘The fast-moving SUV was traveling south on Pleasant Street and sped through the intersection at River and Walcott streets before crashing into the building of the Arvelo Martial Arts Academy, 179 River St. The vehicle went through a section of the building - empty at the time - and into the adjacent river. The river is down an embankment behind the building. The SUV burst into flames.’
‘"There were no visible skid marks or any other evidence that the operator of the vehicle attempted to use his brakes indicating that the driver may have been experiencing a medical emergency," police said.’

‘Family members say around 4:20 p.m. Saturday, the driver of a Ford Focus veered off Cypress Gardens Boulevard, traveled up a grassy hill, and crashed into the motel's front office.
They said Brooks, who was working outside, was hit directly and landed inside the motel, where they believe he died immediately.’

‘First responders found a 2011 Hyundai Accent on fire in the passing lane with its driver, the vehicle’s sole occupant, still inside.’

Jun 6 — ‘A 26-year-old Forest Ranger died after suffering a medical emergency on Monday in Washington County, according to the Georgia Forestry Commission.
Shaun Luke Daniel suffered a medical emergency while monitoring a contained wildfire in Washington County. Daniel was treated by emergency responders who were unable to revive him on the scene.’

This Vancouver is a town in Western Washington right across the bridge from Portland, Oregon.
‘Her family said it will cost them a quarter of a million dollars to get her medically transported back to Washington.’ Dang.

8) Hiker Medical Emergency

Jun 5 — ‘At 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 4, 2023, the NH Fish and Game Department was notified of a hiker who was having a medical issue on the Little East Pond Trail in Livermore. The 59-year-old male hiker had departed from the trailhead around 11:00 a.m. with a hiking partner. Their intent was to hike to Little East Pond. At approximately 11:45 a.m., the hiker collapsed on the trail. His hiking partner called 911 and began life-saving measures.
A Backcountry Forest Manager with the US Forest Service came upon the scene 40 minutes later and assisted in administering life-saving measures. NHFG Conservation Officers, Linwood Ambulance, Woodstock Fire Department, Waterville Valley Public Safety Department and the Pemigewasset Valley Search and Rescue Team responded to assist. Unfortunately, the hiker succumbed to his medical issue and was not able to be revived. The hiker, Donald Frenette, of Lancaster, NH, was carried out the 1.5 miles to the trailhead arriving at 3:43 p.m.’
9) Spain flight cancelled after onboard medical emergency at Cork Airport

Jun 5 — ‘Manatee County’s emergency medical services and sheriff’s office deputies coordinated May 26 with the U.S. Coast Guard Station Cortez to rescue a 25-year-old man from the nearshore waters of Sarasota Bay.’
‘So MCSO deputies approached on a shallow draft vessel and located a man in the water. The deputies performed a water rescue, bringing the unidentified man to docks at 123rd Avenue West in Cortez, where they were met by an EMS team that rendered CPR.
MCSO reports indicated the man’s condition as a near drowning. It is unknown if there was an underlying medical condition that led to the incident.’
