The Rise of the Medical Emergency, Pt. 35
The shots almost take a hit, car inbound at the impound, another plane diverted, another wedding upended, a teen has an emergency in pregnancy, a partygoer stops partying, and a driver stops driving
JUN 25 REPORTS
1) Kewanee City Council member readies for double lung transplant at Chicago’s Northwestern Hospital
Wow. They mentioned the shots.
‘Steve Faber usually has no trouble performing his duties as a member of the Kewanee City Council. But late last year, a medical emergency damaged both his lungs, badly enough that he needs a double lung transplant, something that’s quite rare.
“I went into the hospital on December 23rd of last year,” Faber said. “I was there for 22 days at two different hospitals and a nursing home at the end, before I got to come back home, Way [sic] back when COVID was going on, I took the first two shots, no problems whatsoever.’
WAAAAAAAY back “when covid was going on.” Brother, you just have no idea. Do continue.
‘Then all of a sudden, I went and took the one booster, and I was down for four days. I couldn’t breathe and I’ve been on oxygen ever since, but it wasn’t severe until the 23rd. The hospital accidentally didn’t get the testing right, but I had the flu when I was in there, which settled into my lungs. They (the flu) had a week’s head start so it just went downhill from there.”’
Brutal. Plus, I was pumped that they blamed the shots for a second. Then I realized they were blaming the flu. Funny, because I also remember WAAAAAAAY back when “covid was going on” that covid had outcompeted the flu. Oh, I know — the science changed, right? Whatever. As long as I get a front-row seat to the gallows.
Anyway, in case you were thinking lung transplants are routine, or easy, or something:
‘Lung transplants are much more complicated that transplanting other organs, says Faber. “The problem is you can only have, as of right now, one transplant and it’s good for seven to eight years on average, but they can’t do it again. They can’t put another set in, so if I reject them, that’s it, I’ll be coming home in a box.”’
Is there a bright side to any of this?
‘“The people that have these kinds of problems, they get scared because of the charges, but let me tell you, with Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and my personal insurance, this million dollar operation ain’t going to cost me hardly anything.”’
Touch of grey on that silver lining, Steve. A million-dollar operation to save a vaccine victim here, a million-dollar operation to save one there — how many people on Earth got vaccinated? Most? Oh, then — pretty soon, let’s see, yeah — we’re going to be talking real money.
2) Man crashes into police impound lot gate during medical emergency
‘A man who crashed into the gate of the Colorado Springs Police Department’s (CSPD) impound lot during a medical emergency was hospitalized Saturday evening, June 24.’
‘Officers were told the driver experienced a medical emergency, which resulted in the driver losing control of the vehicle and crashing into the metal fencing along the eastern wall of the impound lot.
The driver was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries for further medical treatment.’
3) Mexico flight diverted to Shannon Airport after medical emergency
‘A HOLIDAY FLIGHT to Mexico was diverted to Shannon Airport this afternoon after the crew declared a medical emergency over the North Atlantic.’
‘The crew of the Boeing 787-900 jet reported they had a male passenger on board who had suffered two seizures.’
‘The patient was later transported to University Hospital Limerick for treatment.’
4) Groom collapses and dies moments after exchanging vows with bride
‘A wedding in Nebraska turned to tragedy after the groom collapsed during the ceremony and later died in hospital.’
‘But the couple’s marital bliss was cut short when Mr Davis suffered a medical emergency as he prepared to take pictures with his bride, WSOC reported.
'Davis was rushed to hospital where doctors determined he had suffered a blood clot. He later died.’
5) Sheltering teen mom and baby were saved in the nick of time
The youngest daughter of a family staying in a shelter after a destructive typhoon had complications to her pregnancy involving high blood pressure.
‘“They were talking loudly and that’s when the nurse called us and said, 'This is Dr. Shieh. We called him because we are concerned (about) your girl's blood pressure, and she’s pregnant,'” [the girl’s mother,] Carla Taimanglo said.
Shieh said Faviannah Taimanglo’s blood pressure was high, a big risk for expectant moms. Faviannah Taimanglo had been due July 2.
‘"On Friday, the teen's blood pressure skyrocketed to 159/110. (She) had to deliver and baby was sideways," Shieh told the Post.’
‘Carla Taimanglo said a family of five on cots roughly six feet away from her family tested positive for COVID-19 and influenza.
“(The mom) had influenza and one of the kids had COVID-19. They put them there. ... I asked the nurse, can you please explain to me what’s going on? Because my daughter’s pregnant, the fan is right there blowing directly to us,” Carla Taimanglo said.’
Yeah, that high blood pressure thing — I’ve been hearing a lot about that. Preeclampsia, like what killed Tori Bowie, the Olympic sprinter, it sounds like. That must be on the rise.
6) CLUB DEATH PROBE Cops probe death of reveller in his 30s who collapsed at notorious London nightclub
‘Staff closed the venue after a “medical emergency” in the early hours of yesterday morning.’
‘Despite efforts by paramedics, the man in his 30s died at the scene at Fabric in Farringdon, Central London, at 2am.’
‘Police are treating the death as “unexpected”.’
Maybe not that unexpected:
‘The 1,600-capacity Fabric opened in 1999 but was closed in 2016 after the deaths of two men.
Despite police calling the club a “safe haven” for drugs, a judge later ruled it could reopen.’
7) Oneida County man dies after single car crash in Annsville
Nothing is reported here about a medical emergency. Just a case of a guy, driving along, crossing into the otherbound lane, then off the road across that lane, then running into a tree. Again. One of those.
‘Twenty-six-year-old Christopher Rhodes of Rome died in a single car accident on Saturday, June 24 just before midnight in the Town of Annsville.
Rhodes was driving a 2008 Honda, traveling northbound on Meadows Rd. in Annsville when he failed to maintain his lane of travel on a slight curve according to Oneida County Sheriff's Office.’
Oh, well, there was a slight curve involved. I mean, no joke, some country roads can be pretty tricky. But those spots aren’t generally described as “slight curves.” Still, though, it’s something.
‘Rhodes crossed over into the southbound lane of traffic and then onto the west shoulder striking a tree where the vehicle came to rest. He was pronounced dead at the scene after Emergency Medical Personnel arrived on the scene minutes later.’
Well, maybe we’ll find out more at some point.
Adieu.
Many people look sort of flushed, bright red. Like they are about to xplode, and look, they are. Oops.
Medical Emergency...
Medical Emergency...
Medical Emergency... all I ever hear anymore. I wonder if an autopsy is done on these “Medical Emergency“ deaths? As well as the ones that just died whether they were driving, flying, getting married, cooking dinner... people that were absolutely fine just moments before they were not. Before DEATH. It’s so bad now that I bet everyone knows someone that has either died or suffered a “Medical Emergency“!
My girlfriend tells me last week of this woman goes into a small Mom/Pop store with her 3 yr old granddaughter to buy her something to snack on. The women pays for the snack, grabs the child by the had and walks out the store. The store owners watched them cross the road, hand in hand. As soon as they reached the other side of the road, the grandmother literally just fell to the ground & died while holding her 3 year old granddaughters hand! DIED! She of course suffered a “Medical Emergency”.
I asked my girlfriend what’s the chance that she had received the jab & her reply was... pretty good in favor that she was jabbed especially due to her job. She was a teacher.
Humans... it’s a sad sad world.
Great info as always, Thank You!
