All kinds of grim reports this week, with athletes dying and drivers dying and little children becoming big heroes. Former Vice President Joe Biden caught a bad case of the rapid decline, but at least he gained about a foot in height and acquired a new signature as part of the deal. A lot of people end up in bodies of water of every sort in this one, except for the ocean. I don’t think anyone drove into the ocean. The odd business gets a bad scare and a broken window here, a TV star or a pop star misses a show there, an Olympic event is interrupted, a city bus makes an entirely unexpected stop at a Burger King, and the like.

Okay, so, the news story proper is some sort of news item that comes directly from San Diego County, and it’s just sort of an advertisement for their ECHO devices used for emergency cardiac conditions. The only actual news comes from the Youtube video.

And that news is: Another 41 year-old woman just sat and had a heart attack while watching TV at home with her husband. You know.

‘The unidentified driver remains in critical condition at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn following the accident, which happened near Fort Hamilton Parkway and Caton Avenue in Kensington just after midnight.’

“Once we hit Burger King, I got out of my seat and I immediately went to him to try to help him out,” passenger Valorie Turner, 60, told Fox 5. “He was moaning; he was saying whatever. I started CPR on him.”

Turner added that the bus sped up just before the crash — “and before I knew it, we was in Burger King.”

Shocking surveillance footage obtained by Fox showed the Metropolitan Transit Authority bus careening through the streets and [dodging] a car stopped at a red light — just before it slammed into the building.’
