1) Bronny James out of ICU after suffering cardiac arrest at USC practice

Bronny James is 18 years old.
Cardiac arrest. At this point, we know, the cause is baffling.

2) Air ambulance called to Stratford Park Leisure Centre

3) Former Syracuse basketball player Alan Griffin’s 2-year-old son dies after ‘medical emergency’
‘The 2-year-old son of former Syracuse University basketball player Alan Griffin died on Saturday, according to the Champaign (Illinois) County Coroner.
According to the coroner’s report, Griffin found his son, Jayce, unresponsive. Police responded to help a toddler with a “medical emergency.”’
‘The child was pronounced dead at the Carle Foundation Hospital Emergency Department in Urbana, Illinois. According to the coroner, preliminary results from the autopsy conducted on Monday revealed no evidence of trauma nor foul play.’
‘Riggs said a few days prior to his death, Jayce developed what seemed like a routine respiratory infection, but she said there were no serious concerns at a doctor’s visit [about a week prior on] Wednesday.’ [Emphasis added]
‘“At this time, the death of Jayce Griffin appears to be from natural causes pending additional testing and final autopsy results. Additional information will not be released until completion of this investigation. This death is under investigation by the Champaign Police Department and the Champaign County Coroner’s Office,” the report stated.’ [Emphasis added]
4) 4-day-old baby with medical emergency airlifted from Palmdale
‘A baby suffering from a medical emergency was airlifted from Palmdale to Los Angeles, authorities tweeted Monday.
Air Rescue units were called to the scene and found the distressed 4-day-old baby.’ [Emphasis added]

5) Damage to Dairy Queen in Oliver caused by out-of-control pickup truck
‘In between blizzards, the Dairy Queen in Oliver faced a different kind of calamity on Monday night when a pickup truck drove over the curb, tore a staircase off the building and ended up in the parking lot against a cement ramp.
A 47-year-old resident of Oliver, driving a white 2018 GMC Sierra with an Alberta plate suffered a medical emergency while driving and resulted in damage to the Dairy Queen property. No pedestrians or other vehicles were hit.
The pickup truck hit the staircase on the south end of the building that goes up to the apartments above the business.’ [Emphasis added]
‘Sgt. Don Wrigglesworth, Oliver RCMP detachment commander, commented that an “investigation with witness statements and speaking to the driver deems that alcohol was not a factor, it appears it was a medical situation.”
It was reported that the vehicle was very close to pedestrians and a couple young kids who were able to get themselves out of harm's way from the vehicle and the stairs falling.’

6) Northwest Charlotte pool closed following medical emergency
‘CHARLOTTE — A community pool in northwest Charlotte will be closed Tuesday following a medical emergency Monday night.’ [Emphasis added]
‘MEDIC announced that they received a cardiac arrest call before the pool was shut down. One person was later rushed to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to MEDIC.’ [Emphasis added]

7) Spencer County High School mourning the loss of student who died Friday after medical emergency
‘Spencer County is mourning the loss of a teen who died last week.
Roger Webb, 17, passed away after a medical emergency in Lexington on Friday, July 21, Spencer County High School said in a social media post on Monday.’ [Emphasis added]
8) 'We commend his actions for his bravery': Trooper stops wrong-way driver on I-4 in Orlando
‘New video shows the split-second decision a Florida state trooper made to stop a wrong-way driver on Interstate 4 in Orlando.
Florida Highway Patrol says a 48-year-old woman was driving westbound on the eastbound entrance ramp to I-4 at John Young Parkway around 10:30 p.m. Monday.
To stop the driver from entering the busy intersection, FHP says Trooper Luke Krupinski positioned his patrol car to block the wrong-way driver. As a result, the woman's car hit the trooper and collided with a tree.
"Traffic was still going, so he had to make a split-second decision to save life and property by putting his vehicle in the path of that runaway driver," Lt. Tara Crescenzi with FHP said.’ [Emphasis added]
‘The woman and the trooper were transported to the hospital with minor injuries. FHP believes the woman suffered a medical episode.’ [Emphasis added]
Thankfully she’s OK.
‘She is charged with reckless driving, traveling on the wrong side of the roadway, and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle. Orlando Police Department is also investigating the crash.’ [Emphasis added]

9) MAN DIES IN CHARLOTTE UNEXPECTEDLY FROM MEDICAL EMERGENCY

‘Darius Mckinney died on July 24, 2023 in Charlotte, NC. Darius leaves behind a loving family.
Darius died in the night time hours from unknown causes. There are indications that he was suffering from complications of a medical emergency.
A cause of death has not been ruled yet, but no foul play is suspected.’ [Emphasis added]
