1) Dashcam captures heroic B.C. truck driver saving man in medical distress

‘A B.C. truck driver is being hailed as a hero after he stopped a moving car in which a driver was suffering from a medical emergency.’ [Emphasis added]
‘As he got out of his truck to find out more, the car started rolling downhill.
“So luckily somehow, the guy had the driver’s side window open just enough that I could get my arm (in) and I roll the window down first,” Singh said.
“And then I tried to steer it towards the island so they would hit it and stop by itself. But then, I just dived into the car, put the car in park and turned it off, and that’s how it ended up stopping.”’ [Emphasis added]

‘He said he wasn’t even thinking about his own personal safety in the moment; he just knew he had to try and do something.
“He also had a four-year-old little girl in the back seat, and then she was also crying at the top of her lungs because, of course, it was scary,” Singh added.’ [Emphasis added]
‘“It turns out that the driver had a medical event while driving over the Alex Fraser Bridge,” he said. “And when the officer got there, fire (crews were) already treating the driver, who ended up going off to hospital. 2) A horrific RV crash happened in Fountain Valley involving a Hyundai and a utility pole
‘The Fountain Valley Police Department posted pictures of a horrific auto accident involving a large RV and a black Hyundai sedan. The accident occured yesterday on Newland and an unidentified cross street that may have been Talbert. It is possible that one of the drivers was involved in a medical emergency while driving, according to the FVPD.’ [Emphasis added]
‘The RV appears to have crashed into a utility pole while the [Hyundai’s] back end was destroyed perhaps indicating that it was rear-ended.’ [Emphasis added]
3) Crews rescue a patient from the woods in Grayson Co.
‘A patient suffering from a medical emergency in Grayson County was able to make it out of the woods thanks to the efforts of emergency crews on Wednesday morning.’ [Emphasis added]
‘After the rescue, officials said the person was taken to the hospital for evaluation.’
He’s not out of the woods.
4) North Georgia runner collapses, officers spring into action to save him
‘Bryan Schuler was running in the Firecracker 5K on July 4 in Dahlonega when he stopped breathing.’ [Emphasis added]
‘“I checked the subject, and he was breathing intermittingly at first then he stopped,” Clements said. “I started chest compressions and executed approximately 40 compressions and then the subject came back to us.”
Schuler was then taken to a nearby hospital.’ [Emphasis added]
5) 49-year-old woman found dead in Portage Lakes identified, lived near North Reservoir
‘Emergency responders recovered the body of a 49-year-old woman from North Reservoir in Portage Lakes Thursday morning, according to the Summit County Medical Examiner's Office.’ [Emphasis added]
‘The office has identified her as Catherine Altizer, who lived within 200 feet of the lake on Fig Drive, according to Chief Investigator Gary Guenther. He said her body was identified through fingerprints; there were no obvious injuries and there is no indication of foul play.’ [Emphasis added]
They just found her there.
‘The Summit County Sherrif's Office, the Ohio Department of Natural Resources and the Summit County Medical Examiner's Office are investigating the matter.’
Yeah, but they’re not going to check for shot injuries. They’re too stupid to do that.
6) Montgomery County Jail inmate pronounced dead Thursday morning, sheriff's office investigates
‘An inmate at the Montgomery County Jail was pronounced dead earlier this morning.
Around 8 a.m. on Thursday, July 27, a corrections officer at the Montgomery County Jail was conducting a routine safety check when they discovered an inmate that was experiencing a medical emergency.’ [Emphasis added]
‘Clemmons had been booked into the Montgomery County Jail on Wednesday, on felony weapons charges. When he was booked, he participated in a routine medical screening.
However, on Thursday morning, Clemmons was not able to be revived and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office said that they are still in the very early stages of their investigation, but that Clemmons had left his cell for breakfast earlier in the morning and there are no indications of foul play or drug use.’ [Emphasis added]

7) Elderly Queens Woman Suffers Medical Emergency, Dies In Crash: NYPD
‘A 76-year-old woman died in a car crash after she suffered a medical episode while driving in Cambria Heights over the weekend, police said.
Winsome Rose, from Queens Village, crashed against a wall on 112th Avenue and the Cross Island Parkway after she suffered a medical emergency behind the wheel on Saturday, July 22, about 11:15 a.m., the NYPD said.
She was taken to North Shore University Hospital, where she died after sustaining trauma to the head and torso, authorities said.’ [Emphasis added]
8) Spencer County High School senior dies suddenly following medical emergency
‘Roger Webb was going to be a senior at Spencer County High School. He passed away on Friday following a medical emergency.

9) Woman dies at Haysville convenience store after suffering medical condition
‘Police in suburban Wichita say a 39-year-old woman who died in the parking lot of a convenience store early Thursday morning had suffered a medical condition.’ [Emphasis added]
‘"We fond that the female patient was having a medical condition and an acquaintance was attempting to drive her to the emergency room, when she became unresponsive, and they pulled over at the convenience store and called 911," the chief said in a release.’ [Emphasis added]
10) Cedarburg native credited with saving woman’s life
‘Cedarburg native Hayden Rose, a student at the Virginia Military Institute, put his recent training as an emergency medical technician to quick use when he saved a woman visiting the base.’ [Emphasis added]
‘The woman Rose aided at Camp Pendleton was a civilian employee of a major telecommunications company who was also participating in the cybersecurity exercise called “Cyber Fortress.”
Following a morning briefing, a group of participants were walking from one building to another, when Rose noticed her looking confused. He initially thought her confusion stemmed from being in new surroundings.
Suddenly, he heard a Marine yell for medical assistance and saw the woman face down on the ground bleeding.’ [Emphasis added]
